This is a Red Kangaroo.
Red Kangaroos live in open grasslands and deserts of Australia. They like to stay in western and central Australia. In the open grasslands there are few trees for shade. Males have short, red-brown fur, below fading to pale buff and females are smaller than males, blue-grey and pale grey below. Red kangaroos are herbivorous so they get grass and other vegetation. They usually stay in one area but if they have to, they can travel up to 25-30 km away to look for more food.
